About Office

Gujarat State Khadi Gramodhyog Board is a statutory board of the Gujarat Government.

The Gujarat State Khadi Gramodhyog Board has been working for six decades to solve the state's unemployment problems. It partially supports employment and enhances Gramodhyog activities, as well as spreading the thoughts of the beloved social worker Mahatma Gandhiji. This is particularly focused on areas with populations of fewer than 20,000 people, providing handmade products available in local markets, and promoting self-reliance and respect.

The Gujarat State Khadi Gramodhyog Board provides economic help under different schemes to registered institutions, associations, and individual workers. It also focuses on employment, especially in forested tribal areas, while offering guidance and basic information regarding Khadi and Gramodhyog activities to the people of Gujarat.

The Board also provides special grants for weavers and spinners in the Khadi sector. It organizes state-level and national-level exhibitions to promote and sell Khadi Gramodhyog products.

In the year 2024-25, the Khadi and Polyvastra sectors produced 8561.80 lakh and achieved 8845.51 lakh in sales. The Khadi Polyvastra sector has provided employment to 16,000 beneficiaries, while Gramodhyog has provided employment to 97,173 beneficiaries.
